2. How We Use Cookies
HomePros.ie uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the Platform to function properly. They enable core features such as user authentication, account access, and security. The Platform cannot operate properly without these cookies.
- Functional browser storage: Local storage remembers an account's homeowner or professional view and can retain an unfinished job-request draft. Session storage temporarily supports the current job-posting flow. Local storage also remembers your optional analytics choice.
- First-party measurement: A random session identifier in session storage supports optional page and request-form funnel measurement only after you accept analytics. For the request form we record the field category interacted with, interaction type, whether it contains anything, timestamp, and Cloudflare-provided country code. We do not record field contents or store IP addresses in this analytics database. Funnel events are deleted after 90 days. Measurement is not used when your browser sends Do Not Track. We do not install Google Analytics or advertising pixels.
3. Types of Cookies We Use
Session Cookies
These are temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session state as you navigate the Platform.
Persistent Cookies
These remain on your device for a set period of time or until you manually delete them. They help us remember your preferences and improve your experience on return visits.
First-Party Cookies
These are set directly by HomePros.ie and are used to enable core Platform functionality.
External resources
Public pages may request map tiles from OpenFreeMap and font files from Google Fonts. Those providers receive ordinary request information such as your IP address and browser headers; HomePros.ie does not use those requests to install marketing cookies.
