Ownership and accountability

The publisher is Configurix Limited, which operates HomePros.ie. Editorial content is produced and maintained by the HomePros.ie Editorial Team. Kareem Najeeb is the company's Managing Director and is identified in our legal notice. We do not name an individual technical reviewer unless that person has actually reviewed the specific article and their relevant credentials have been verified.

Sources and verification

Current grants, regulations, safety requirements and technical claims should be checked against primary sources such as government departments, regulators and statutory schemes. A numbered citation means the linked source supports that nearby statement. Links labelled “Official guidance” are useful further reading; they are not presented as evidence for every price or claim in an older guide.

Articles display their source-review status. Some legacy guides pre-date our current citation standard. They remain general guidance while they are reviewed and should not replace a site inspection, professional diagnosis or advice from the relevant authority.

Prices and quotations

Price ranges are estimates, not offers. Location, access, condition, specification, materials, certification and hidden defects can materially change a quotation. Readers should obtain a written, itemised quote and confirm what is included before authorising work. We do not change editorial conclusions because a professional is listed on or pays HomePros.ie.

Safety and regulated work

Electrical, gas, structural and other safety-critical work must be handled by an appropriately competent or registered professional where required. Our guides are not a substitute for an inspection, design, certificate, planning decision or emergency service. When official rules conflict with an article, follow the current official rule and tell us so we can correct the guide.

Guides show a publication date and the latest material update date. Minor typographical changes do not require a new date. We update material information when we identify a meaningful change.
