• Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, and password when you register an account.
• Profile Information: For tradespeople, business name, description, services offered, coverage areas, and portfolio images.
• Job Information: Details about home improvement jobs you post, including location, budget, and description.
• Communication Data: Messages sent between homeowners and tradespeople through our platform.
• Usage Data: Browser and device information, pages visited, and interaction patterns. Cloudflare processes IP addresses to deliver and secure requests; raw IP addresses are not stored in our first-party analytics database.
• First-party traffic measurement (optional): If you accept analytics, we collect page paths, timestamps, account-or-guest classification, and a random identifier limited to the current browser tab. We also record the first landing path, a broad source class, referring domain without its path or query, posted-job attribution, and Core Web Vitals measurements. We do not include full referrer URLs, query strings, contact details, message content, or IP addresses in this traffic record, and browsers sending Do Not Track are excluded. Aggregate search queries and rankings imported from Google Search Console are not linked to individual visitors.
• Request-form funnel measurement: A random browser-session identifier, form step, allow-listed field category, interaction type, whether the field is blank or non-blank, event timestamp, and Cloudflare-provided country code. We never send or store the text, selected answer, contact details, or raw IP address as a form analytics event. These events are deleted after 90 days and are excluded when Do Not Track is enabled. You can change or withdraw analytics consent through the Analytics settings link in the site footer.
• Lead-credit activity: Records of credits used to unlock homeowner contact details.

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our platform services
• To match homeowners with relevant tradespeople
• To facilitate communication between users
• To manage lead credits and unlocked requests
• To send service-related notifications and updates
• To improve our platform and user experience

• Service Providers: Companies that provide hosting, mapping, email delivery, security and other infrastructure used to operate HomePros.ie.
• Other Users: Professionals can see job details needed to assess a request. A professional receives the homeowner contact details only after unlocking that request.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and marketplace data while your account is active and for as long as it is needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. You can delete your account from Privacy and data in account settings. This removes the account and its associated jobs, messages, reviews, alerts, and professional profile from the active application database. Limited operational records may be retained without a live account identifier where required for security, delivery integrity, or legal compliance.

• Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
